Agriya Khetarpal, Noida (India), is a student at the Cluster Innovation Centre at the University of Delhi pursuing a B.Tech. degree in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations. He co-led ´The Stubble Project,´ which aimed to raise awareness and reduce pollution caused by stubble burning by farmers in the states of Punjab and Haryana, India.

His prime takeaway from the Equitech Scholars Program 2022 was how the ostensibly technical realm of data science simultaneously mimics and confronts innate cognitive functions toward decision-making in real-world contexts. In the modern era of the internet and social media, he is passionate about employing technological ways to build modern data science and AI tools to address societal challenges in order to further efforts to achieve gender equality in all aspects of society.
