Allison is a purpose-driven entrepreneur and researcher with a passion for using inclusive, ethical technology to improve healthcare access and outcomes for underserved populations. As the founder of Medcore and a researcher at Notre Dame’s IDEA Center, she investigates how data and local insights can reduce bias and optimize healthcare delivery—especially for uninsured and rural communities. Her work spans user research, policy analysis, and application-based solutions focused on resource distribution and patient financial experiences.

Allison’s leadership extends beyond the lab: she actively shares her Peruvian heritage through the Latino Student Alliance, mentors peers as a Sullivan Undergraduate Fellow, and fosters teamwork and resilience as a point guard on her intramural basketball team. A Rise program alum with a growing interest in investor relations, Allison aspires to bridge innovation and capital in the healthcare sector, combining social impact with strategic financial communication.

In her own words:

“I aim to apply data-driven, application-based approaches to optimize resource distribution, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient financial experiences. Researching on social determinants of health affecting access to care in emergency settings, vaccinations, and physician contact or strategizing with hospitals, NGOs, and providers to improve resource allocation, I hope to improve access to healthcare in underserved communities...In this program, I get to tinker with AI ethically using the lessons from use cases and news we examined. It will also allow me to refine my ability to communicate my venture to future mentors, partners, and investors.”
