Andrew Kamau Kimani, Kajiado (Kenya), is a freshman at the University of Nairobi seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. He is a scholar at the Equity Leaders Program in Kenya, which is a leadership program that seeks to transform the country through training and empowering its scholars to transformative leadership. Andrew is passionate about using technology and building systems to solve the many societal problems that he grew up witnessing including inequality in access to education and food insecurity and inequality distribution of resources. He hopes that through the EquiTech Scholars Program he can gain the skills necessary for operationalizing Data Science and AI for solving real world problems.
