Baraa Al Jorf

Baraa Al Jorf (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) is a Ph.D. student in computer science at New York University. He is a member of the Clinical AI Lab at NYU with a focus on Multimodal Learning and Foundation Models in Healthcare. He holds a Bachelor's in computer engineering from NYU Abu Dhabi.

Baraa's work integrates clinical notes, medical imaging, and EHRs to build machine learning systems that can support diagnosis, risk prediction, and clinical decision-making. Recently, he completed a Visiting Ph.D. semester at Columbia University, where he took advanced coursework in causal inference and foundation model theoretical design. He has published research on fusion architectures and clinical benchmarks, presented at international AI and healthcare conferences, and helped lead events like the Clinical AI Bootcamp and Healthcare AI Summit.
