Baraa Al Jorf, Abu Dhabi, (United Arab Emirates) is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in computer engineering at New York University, Abu Dhabi. He is interested in the problem of AI safety, especially with regards to AI advancement. He wants to focus on AI policies and AI alignment as two solutions to the issue of safety from AI advancement. At a program called iXperience, he learnt how to use Python for data handling, and worked to design a social impact project that tackled patterns in youth employment. At EquiTech Futures, he wants to learn how to utilise his interest in data science and AI with a sense of social responsibility to improve the overall well-being of communities.
