Bo is a visionary technologist and social innovator working at the intersection of AI governance, inclusive data infrastructure, and civic empowerment. A co-founder of Robust—a political-economic simulation platform using agent-based large language models (LLMs) to pressure-test policy—Bo is building tools that transform policymaking from abstract theorizing into participatory, empathy-driven simulation. With a background in AI alignment research, grassroots activism, and interdisciplinary leadership, Bo is redefining how emerging technologies can be ethically integrated into society.Deeply committed to equity and representation, Bo’s early life across Beijing, Xinjiang, and theU.S. taught them how dominant narratives often erase marginalized communities. In response, they founded Ms. Blooming, an NGO promoting STEM education for girls in underserved regions of China and South Africa—impacting over 200 girls through representation-driven programming, scholarships, and mentorship. Their community-building efforts also include co- founding the Liufeng Student Union, which supports over 900 international students in navigating cultural and educational barriers across U.S. high schools.Inspired by leaders like Mira Murati, Bo’s approach blends technical rigor with moral imagination, championing AI that doesn’t just minimize harm, but amplifies pluralism, agency, and justice. At Equitech Futures Institute Oxford, Bo aims to refine Robust, stress-test its ethical and governance frameworks, and collaborate with a global cohort to ensure that no dataset speaks for everyone without first asking.
