Caio is a Computational Science and Engineering student who carries a passion for machine learning and data science. He studies at Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), where he took part in Enactus, a global non-profit network of young leaders aspiring to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress. He learned about social entrepreneurship and how it can be used to address important social challenges.

Encouraged by this experience, he joined the 2022 Equitech Scholars cohort, where he learned real-world applications of AI and how to think outside the box to create machine learning models. Being part of the Equitech Alumni Network means having the most appreciated support from the Equitech community to share his ideas with the world through technology. Now he works in an internship where he uses Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) to assess the reading fluency of children in Brazilian public schools. In the coming years, he looks forward to using AI as a tool of improving people's lives and to contributing to more networks of social change.
