Ekeno Samson Lokwakai, Lokichoggio (Kenya), is a fresh graduate with first-class honours from the University of Nairobi. He is a young engineer eager to exhibit the most standard codes of ethics and integrity while applying technology to tackling pressing societal challenges, especially for marginalised and underserved communities.

The Equitech Scholars Program sparked his sincere interest in machine learning and since he has been exploring the integration of Machine Learning, Embedded Systems and Robotics. Ekeno was awarded Huawei Seeds for the Future program by Huawei Kenya, where he is exploring more cutting-edge technology tools. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Kenya chapter, IEEE Circuit and Systems Society, IEEE Robotics and Automation, IEEE Photonics Society, and IEEE SIGHT. Ekeno is motivated in creating an impact in autonomous intelligent systems and machines, ethical and responsible AI and a fair society.
