Eloi Prat Padró

Eloi is from Granollers, Barcelona, and is currently studying physics at UC Santa Barbara. A Rise fellow and UWC Mahindra alumnus, he has spent the last few years working at the intersection of technology and social good, building tools for ALS patients to communicate, spaces for education and language preservation in rural Maharashtra, and pollution measurements in his home city. He believes the most meaningful thing technology and science can do is lower the bar for access to education, health, and opportunities, and he's actively working towards that through his own projects and research. He's passionate about finding ways to bring his ideas to a bigger scale and he's joining this Equitech Futures program to learn from others who share that drive and to push his thinking on how AI can be a force for good and equity all around the globe rather than a force that widens existing gaps.
