Fatima Ahmad (Pakistan) is a development practitioner and a researcher with diverse sectoral experience in development and public policy. She has an educational background in Sociology and Socio-cultural Studies, (BS hons -Summa Cam Laude) and in Peace and Conflict Studies (MS -Summa Cum Laude).
She was selected as one of the 40 “Young Development Fellows” at The Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives (MOPD&SI) in 2022-23, and one of the 27 “Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS) Pipeline Fellows” in 2024. She has been a scholar at the CIVIC Tech Institute at Equitech Futures in 2026.
Fatima finds herself increasing interested in development practice, context monitoring, program management, research and supporting interventions in thematic areas of climate change, gender, health, livelihoods, WASH and emergencies. Of the diverse set of experiences privy to development work, she particularly enjoys doing fieldwork research and initiating partnerships for development outcomes (research-practice linkages).
