Raised outside of Washington, D.C., Gabrielle Jawer grew up playing in the creek and reading piles of books, cultivating a lifelong love of storytelling and environmental stewardship. While attending college at William & Mary, Gabrielle held leadership positions with the Society of Physics Students and W&M Sustainability, and she was honored with the Dean's List, Monroe Scholarship, and Cypher Award. She graduated in 2021 with a B.S. in Engineering Physics and a minor in Mathematics. After graduation, Gabrielle attended the NASA Academy at Langley before working as an Engineering Operations Manager with Whisker Labs, Inc. where she worked to prevent electrical fires. She currently volunteers with the Virginia Scientist Community Interface, crafting podcast episodes and blog posts based on the organization’s research. In her free time, Gabrielle enjoys reading, baking, and exploring nature.
