United States

Originally from New York (USA), Kamila is a third year data science and French majors at Wellesley College outside of Boston Massachusetts. She is learning, has learned, will learn, or has been exposed to the French, Arabic, and Mandarin languages. She is currently involved in research studying the effects of historical redlining practices on present day asthma rates in New York City. Her interest is in the unequal public health effects posed by climate change on marginalized communities. Her current research job looks at political polarization in the United States using topological data analysis. When she’s not exploring new foods, she can be found hiking, reading (currently: The English patient), trying to learn a new language, or sitting somewhere in the sun. She loves a horrible movie, a great short story, and anything involving a cup of tea.
