Oscar Tran, Oakland, California, (United States) is working as a product analyst in the media industry. He holds a degree in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Throughout his career, Oscar has worked with multiple product teams to build and scale analytic frameworks. He previously worked at Anywhere Real Estate where he reported on data to drive strategic decisions based on consumer needs. His work also brought him the opportunity to develop a research base that identified key business partnerships to drive the company’s product ecosystem. Oscar has since then moved on to work at Hearst where his current work revolves around discovering new insights to drive engagement across international media brands such as ELLE. Oscar’s biggest takeaway from the Equitech Program has been the ability to communicate data with a solid statistical foundation. As an Equitech Scholar, Oscar plans on building his domain knowledge across different industries to deliver an innovative product that addresses a societal need in the future.
