Qianru "Sinyu" Yang

Qianru "Sinyu" Yang (Guangzhou) is pursuing a MSc Data Science for Public Policy at The Hertie School. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in industrial and product design from China Agricultural University.

Sinyu is a data scientist and visual designer working at the intersection of data, sustainability, and organizational impact. She translates data and information into public-facing decisions and visuals. She has built operational dashboards, designed services and products for social innovation, structured ESG datasets for corporate sustainability reports, and led community-based policy research.

Her background combines technical skills (Python, statistical modeling, visualization) with product design training and cross-cultural work between China and the United States.
