I am a Data Scientist at Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, where I work at the intersection of machine learning, regulation, and public health. I develop AI solutions to support regulatory decision-making and post-market surveillance for medical products. My work ensures that AI-enabled healthcare tools are safe, equitable, and ethically governed.
Beyond my professional role, I am the founder of Project Broken Barges, a ground-up heritage and storytelling initiative that uses AI and digital tools to document the disappearing histories of Singapore’s Northeast coast. Through natural language processing (NLP), OCR, and GIS, we recover, transcribe, and map oral histories and archival data, making forgotten stories accessible to younger generations and community planners.
My aspiration is to pioneer more inclusive, community-grounded applications of AI — whether in healthcare, storytelling, or civic data — that empower underrepresented voices and promote digital equity across Asia.
