Sabrina is a visionary filmmaker, educator, and social innovator dedicated to empowering girls from marginalized communities through storytelling, mentorship, and ethical technology. Rooted in her own lived experience navigating exclusion in the film industry, she co-founded Mulherando o Mundo, an online mentorship initiative designed to support young women across the Global South. The platform fosters community, guidance, and access to resources for girls often left out of traditional leadership and education spaces.
A passionate advocate for equity in education and the arts, Sabrina has led initiatives such as Tocando em Frente, using creative expression to reduce school dropout rates in underserved Brazilian communities, and taught English to students from low-income backgrounds, helping them access new academic and professional pathways. These experiences have shaped her deep belief in democratizing opportunity—whether through language, mentorship, or creative self-expression.
As a filmmaker, Sabrina sees cinema—particularly science fiction—as a medium for activism and imagination, enabling audiences to reframe injustice and envision alternative, equitable futures. Her work seeks to amplify the voices of women and youth, particularly those too often silenced or ignored, and to build digital tools that help others share their stories with agency and authenticity.
At the Equitech Futures Institute, Sabrina aims to scale Mulherando o Mundo through community-centered AI platforms, ethical innovation, and global collaboration. She brings with her a rare blend of artistic vision, grassroots leadership, and technical curiosity, all in service of a bold mission: to ensure that every girl, no matter her background, is seen not only as a recipient of change, but as a builder of the future.
