Sadiksha Basnet

Sadiksha Basnet (Silver Spring, Maryland, United States) is a Nepali immigrant who moved to the United States in 2019 to pursue her education and explore new ways of creating impact. She earned her undergraduate degree in public health science with a minor in neuroscience which shaped how she understands systems equity and how policy decisions influence everyday life.

She currently serves as Chief of Staff to a Maryland State Delegate where she oversees legislative operations policy coordination and constituent services during session. Through this role she works closely with communities advocates and policymakers and has developed a strong interest in how governance technology and data can strengthen public institutions and civic participation.

Sadiksha is especially passionate about reducing car dependency and reimagining cities as people centered places. She aspires to help build communities where strong public transit walkability and thoughtful planning make it possible to thrive without owning a car.

Outside of work she enjoys traveling exploring cities and connecting with new people. She is excited to learn alongside a cohort committed to thoughtful leadership civic innovation and shared learning.
