Sarthak's journey into economics started with leaving a quiet hilly town for the chaos of New Delhi, where he quickly discovered that understanding markets was easier than navigating the metro. Now an economic consultant at Kearney, he spends his days building forecasting models and designing sustainable products—essentially helping Fortune 500 companies think seriously about what the future could look like.
Before consulting, Sarthak worked across health policy, nutrition, and food security research, driven by a simple belief: good data should lead to better lives. These days, he's particularly interested in how digital transformation and behavioral insights can actually make public policy work for people. He's also taken on training colleagues across global offices on AI and prompt engineering, exploring how these tools can enhance the work consultants do.
Outside of work, Sarthak is that friend who insists on cooking elaborate meals when you suggested ordering in, maintains what some call an excessive plant collection, and has an inexplicable enthusiasm for organizing picnics. He's joining Civic Tech Institute to sharpen his data science skills and connect with people who think technology and equity belong in the same sentence.
