Snigdha Arora

Snigdha is from Rajasthan, India. She has a Major and a Capstone Thesis in Political Science, a Minor in Anthropology and Sociology, and a Concentration in Psychology from Ashoka University. She began her journey in the development sector with the Antara Foundation (TAF) in remote villages of Madhya Pradesh, where she worked in partnership with community health workers, government officials, and marginalized communities to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Later on, she decided to combine her practitioner insights with research. As a Knowledge Management Associate, she designed research studies, presented findings to government stakeholders, and represented TAF at international conferences. Recently, she was selected as a UNLEASH global talent. Her team created a solution that leverages USSD technology to increase the early detection of type 2 diabetes in Tanzania. As winners of the Non-Communicable Disease track, they had the opportunity to present at the Hanga Pitch Fest and are currently in the implementation planning stage.Snigdha advocates for community-led interventions and believes that the best solutions come from those who are closest to the problem. In her free time, you can find her reading in the sun or giving belly rubs to stray dogs
