Vansh Sharma

Vansh is a current 2nd year BSc Economics and Finance student at Oxford Brookes University. He grew up in a small mining town in South Africa before moving to the capital for secondary school. He has a keen interest in economics and policy, and is currently working on a research project which is looking at the feasibility of a monetary union amongst BRICS members. He has been a bursary scholar at Cornwall Hill College as well as at the University of Pretoria before moving to the UK to study at Oxford Brookes. At Brookes he has served as the President of the Debating society as well as the Vice-President of TEDxOxford, amongst other positions. He has great concern surrounding the impacts of climate change policy on the development of the global south and the consequential impacts such policy will likely have on poverty alleviation goals in these developing nations.
