Vedang Tarare, Mumbai (India) studied law at Government Law College, University of Mumbai. He identifies himself as a generalist and is passionate about solving data-driven problems in the education, law, and governance landscape of India. Throughout college, he's advocated for bridging the gaps in education and making it more inclusive. During his 3rd and 4th year, he headed the Mumbai chapter of Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) which helps underprivileged students to get into top law schools. Vedang is also passionate about entrepreneurship and has helped set up the college Entrepreneurship Club. He has also interned with startups in various roles. After graduating from GLC he joined a legal tech startup, based out of Bengaluru. Vedang believes that the EquiTech Scholars community and its Mentors will help him understand, learn and apply new technologies like data science and artificial intelligence that can disrupt education, law, and governance, for good.
