Ziyi Aduana is an aspiring agricultural economist from the Philippines and a student at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). In 2024, she was recognized as a Rise Global Fellow for her work in promoting agriculture as a field of study and empowering young people to engage with the agricultural sector. Passionate about creating sustainable and inclusive food systems, Ziyi aspires to become a global learner and changemaker who bridges gaps in agriculture through evidence-based policymaking, technological innovation, and community-centered development. Her interests lie at the intersection of agriculture, economics, education, and social impact. Beyond academics, Ziyi is an avid coffee enthusiast who has traveled through remote mountain communities across the Philippines in search of exceptional local coffees and the stories behind them. This passion led her to establish ISKOFFEE, a social enterprise that seeks to connect farmers to better markets and promote fairer prices for agricultural producers. She is also an advocate for student empowerment and currently serves as the President of one of the country's most established student-scholar organizations, championing initiatives that support scholars, youth leadership, and educational access.
