Karishma Mehrotra is an Indian-American journalist who is currently the South Asia correspondent for the Washington Post based in Delhi. She has written extensively on technology in society, including a magazine article about small town Indian women who train AI which was turned into a film, Humans in the Loop. She has written or worked for Radiolab, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, the Indian Express, Scroll.in, and Bloomberg Businessweek in both India and the U.S. She was previously a Fulbright fellow and was part of a team that was nominated for the Pulitzer. She studied technology in the Global South at SOAS University in London.
