Based in Uganda

I am an aspiring mental health researcher with a strong passion for harnessing various technologies to support individuals facing mental health challenges in Africa by increasing awareness and enhancing accessibility to essential services.

In 2023, I joined Equitech Futures as part of the inaugural Civic Tech Institute. This program introduced me to the fields of data science and artificial intelligence and taught me how to generate innovative solutions for societal issues. Collaborating with a diverse cohort of like-minded individuals from various backgrounds, we delved into discussions about the myriad ways technology can be harnessed for the betterment of society. At Equitech Futures, I am actively engaged in the intersection of technology and health within the Health Tech lab.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. Prior to joining Equitech Futures, I engaged in research activities with the Uganda Virus Research Institute and Makerere University School of Public Health. This experience equipped me with valuable skills in data quality, collection, analysis, and developing survey tools. During my time at the Ministry of Health in Uganda, I served as a technical assistant, where I coordinated projects focused on developing and implementing digital tools to address public health challenges, such as reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rates in Uganda.

In my leisure time, I find enjoyment in socializing with friends, engaging in sports like volleyball and table tennis, indulging in reading, and attending live music performances.
