Dr. Krittika Bhattacharjee is a New Delhi-based theatre actor and a teacher. She is an Assistant Professor at Ashoka University, and teaches its flagship course: Introduction to Critical Thinking, with an especial focus on students who are also English Language Learners (ELL). Alongside her continued interest in structured learning and teaching, Krittika works in independent theatre as an actor and writer. She co-runs Tadpole Repertory Theatre, a New Delhi-based artists’ collective.
Krittika has a Masters and a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Edinburgh, and a second BA in History from the University of Oxford, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Prior to that, she read History at St Stephen's College, University of Delhi. Her research specialism is in the field of Tourism and Religion, and in the application of site-specific, qualitative research methods to capture lively data. She has trained students from middle school through to post-graduate researchers in India and the United Kingdom.
