I am a Machine Learning Engineer with a unique blend of actuarial expertise and a passion for using data to drive decision-making. With 6 years of experience in the consulting industry, a strong background in mathematics and statistics, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, I am able to develop and implement predictive models to optimize business operations and improve customer experiences.

I am thrilled to be part of the team at Equitech Futures where I have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and skilled group of individuals who are passionate about using technology and AI to address critical societal issues. Our work in the Climate Tech Lab, utilizing geospatial data to combat climate change, is particularly noteworthy as it is designed to help organizations quantify and decrease their carbon footprint, enabling them to achieve their sustainability objectives.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where I graduated with first-class honors. Additionally, I was a recipient of the Co-operative Bank of Kenya Scholarship. During the early stages of my career, I gained experience in expert financial modeling and data analysis for growth companies in various industries including banking, insurance, healthcare, real estate, oil, and gas. I also had the opportunity to serve as the logistics and project manager for the launch of KIIRA EV SMACK, East Africa's first hybrid electric vehicle.

Outside Equitech Futures, I am the Chapter Lead for Omdena Kenya an organization that promotes real-world AI through open source projects and education.
